Training and Experience of George Kita
George Kita has practiced criminal law for more than 25 years. He has successfully handled more than 2000 felony and misdemeanor criminal cases, as well as 1000+ juvenile cases.
He has a Criminal Justice degree from California State University, Los Angeles, where he was recognized for academic achievement, receiving the Rosalyn Jung and Mayor Jack Tyrell scholarships.
Mr. Kita attended the highly-touted University of California Hastings School of Law. During that time he was employed by the California Attorney General's Office, Criminal Division, & California Court of Appeal.
Subsequently, Mr. Kita worked as a deputy district attorney. His passion for criminal justice expanded into private practice, where he now provides vigorous defense in cases involving youthful/first-time offenses, as well as serious felonies and misdemeanors. Mr. Kita consistently explores expansive and diverse solutions for clients and families.
He is a recognized authority on youthful offenders, and co-author of Protecting the Future of Juvenile Clients. He is a popular expert speaker at Los Angeles area criminal justice events, and has given talks at Los Angeles Courts, Los Angeles Probation Department, SEIU 721, and Alliance for Children's Rights.
Mr. Kita was recognized in "Top 100 Criminal Lawyers," by the American Society of Legal Advocates, and is a recipient of the "Criminal Justice Leadership Award" from California Contract Cities Association.
His success has also earned him a perfect five star rating from AVVO, one of the largest peer group ratings systems. He has earned perfect
